How we work

Know from day one where the project is heading, and what you get when

Seven steps, each with something concrete at the end. You always know which step you are on, what is left, and what we need from you next.

  1. 011–2 days

    Discovery — understanding the problem

We start by listening. We want to know where your customers come from, what is not working now, and what the site actually needs to do for you.

    What we do

    • A 45–60 minute call or meeting
    • Capture your business goals and who your customers are
    • Review your current site and the examples you like
    • Separate what must exist at launch from what can wait

    What you get

    • A written summary of the requirements both sides agree on
    • An initial recommendation on the kind of site that suits you

What we need from you: Your business details, your customers, and two or three sites you like

  2. 022–3 days

Scope & Proposal — the scope and the price

We turn the conversation into something concrete: pages, features, price, timeline, and what is not included, so nothing is misunderstood later.

    What we do

    • Itemise every page and feature
    • Estimate the timeline and fix the delivery date
    • State clearly what is in scope and what is not
    • Propose phasing options if budget or time is tight

    What you get

    • A quote with the scope set out in detail
    • A schedule with the delivery date
    • Revision and payment terms

What we need from you: Approval of the scope and a start date

  3. 031–3 weeks

UX/UI Design — structure first, then surface

We work on the content structure before the visuals. Once the order of information is right, we take the design detail to match your brand.

    What we do

    • Plan the sitemap and the content order on each page
    • Design the homepage first so the direction is agreed
    • Roll the design out to the remaining pages once it is settled
    • Design the mobile version alongside desktop

    What you get

    • Design files for every page, desktop and mobile
    • Guidance on colour, type and components

What we need from you: Feedback within 2–3 working days per round, to keep the schedule

  4. 041–8 weeks

    Development — building the site

Built with Next.js and whatever else suits the job. You get a preview link from the first week, so you are not waiting until the end to see anything.

    What we do

    • Build the pages from the approved design
    • Connect forms, the CMS or any relevant APIs
    • Make it work on phone, tablet and desktop
    • Tune performance and SEO structure as we go

    What you get

    • A preview link updated continuously during the build
    • A written progress summary every week

What we need from you: Final content, images and any data the site needs

  5. 053–7 days

Review & Testing — checking before handover

Before going live we check every screen, every form and every link, and measure both speed and the correctness of the SEO structure.

    What we do

    • Test on phone, tablet and the major browsers
    • Check every form and where its data ends up
    • Measure performance and fix what slows it down
    • Check for broken links, typos and missing alt text

    What you get

    • A test report and the list of what was fixed
    • A review round for you, with a channel for changes

What we need from you: Review the site and gather your changes into one round

  6. 061–3 days

    Deployment — going live

Connect the domain, configure the certificate, install analytics, then put the site into production at the time that disrupts the fewest people.

    What we do

    • Configure the domain and SSL certificate
    • Set up redirects from old URLs if this is a migration
    • Install Google Analytics and Search Console
    • Submit the sitemap and confirm Google is indexing

    What you get

    • A working site on your own domain
    • Access to every system, in your name
    • Source code with setup documentation

What we need from you: Access to manage the domain, or details of your current registrar

  7. 07Ongoing

    Support — after handover

For the first 30 days we fix anything wrong with the build at no cost, and we are still here afterwards on whatever terms suit you.

    What we do

    • Fix issues found once the site is in real use
    • Train your team on the content management system
    • Advise on improvements based on real usage data
    • Plan the next phase of development

    What you get

    • A 30-day warranty after handover
    • A guide to the content management system
    • A monthly maintenance package if you want one

What we need from you: Tell us what you find in real use, so we improve the right things
